ROLE AT BRIGHTON NOISE:
Reviewer/Tealady
FAVOURITE THINGS ABOUT LIVING IN BRIGHTON:
The regular train service to and from Worthing. The Downs. The fact that you don’t really ever need to leave. Most of the people. Resident. All the lovely coincidences. Nice beer. Night bus.
FAVOURITE LOCAL VENUE:
The Dome, but on a more practical level either The Haunt or Sticky Mikes or The Green Door Store.
BEST PRE-GIG DRINKING HOLE:
The Prince Albert/can on the train/beach.
FIRST EVER GIG:
Gomez at Sheffield City Hall in 1998. Second gig was Suede, which nearly redeems me. It should have been the Longpigs at Sheffield Republic but they wouldn’t let us in because we were too young. Shortly after that the venue burnt down.
BEST RECENT GIG:
Fever Dream/Honeyslide/Traams/Keel Her at The Green Door Store. B Dolan was pretty good too.
3 TOP BANDS/MUSICIANS:
The Fall, The New Bad Things, Yo La Tengo
CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
America by Dan Deacon, 2 by Mac DeMarco
RECOMMENDED BRIGHTON BANDS:
Speak Galactic, Negative Pegasus, Cold Pumas, Cinemascopes, Pesto, Us Baby Bear Bones, Keel Her, AK/DK, Das Fenster, Hollowmoon, Nordic Giants, Sealings, Physics House Band, Soccer 96, Pea Wets
