I think the Green Door Store is the best all-rounder, but I also really enjoy the grand setting of St George’s Church. And I love the Tuesday night Irish folk session at Fitzherberts. I can’t choose one, so you’ve got three.
BEST PRE-GIG DRINKING HOLE:
The Foundry.
FIRST EVER GIG:
I was tempted to lie, but the honest truth is PJ & Duncan in about 1994. I was 14 but still that’s no real excuse.
BEST RECENT GIG:
So far this year, Kurt Vile at the Haunt in February.
