Ex-raver, soulboy, mod, b-boy. Started seriously going to gigs (and getting into less dance-y music) when I got tired of clubbing (and the 3 days it took to recover).
FAVOURITE THINGS ABOUT LIVING IN BRIGHTON:
That it’s not London and you can walk everywhere but there’s loads going on. Resident Records. The sea air. Gigs are plentiful and cheap. The Great Escape.
FAVOURITE LOCAL VENUE:
The Old Market or the Komedia. Shame they aren’t used more.
FIRST EVER GIG:
AC/DC at the Hammersmith Odeon when I was about 12. Was embarrassed about this for years but it actually seems pretty cool now in a slightly ironic way.
BEST RECENT GIG:
Melody’s Echo Chamber and Parquet Courts
