Easter Sunday Metal All-Dayer

15/02/2013 By Anthony Giles

Bull-Riff StampedeBank Holidays would be nothing without the opportunity to stand in a dark venue having your ears blasted with Metal for an entire day. And a Sunday at that. The only Sabbath we like is Black.

What makes this one different is that it is more of an early evening to late night event, running 6pm until 2am. Far more respectable, because that allows for an Easter Sunday roast beforehand, giving all us headbangers the energy we need to thrash around and do our bodies some more damage until the wee hours of the morn. Lovely.

This day is a collection of some great local and not so local acts. Predominantly Thrash and Death Metal based, it’s a killer line up. The full list is as follows:

Bull Riff Stampede
Terrathorn
Divine Chaos
Chapters
Wreckhead
Furyborn
Demental
Hole in the Sky
Subservience

9 bands, £8 quid. That’s allot a Metal for your mulla.

Of note is the return to Brighton of Divine Chaos, a slick, intense Death act from Slough, who are much loved both there, in Brighton and over the UK. They boast the impressive talents of James Stewart on drums, who also chairs for Polish Death Metal legends Vader, and epic songsters Written in Waters.

Local lads Hole In The Sky are a massive reason to get there early, and the hard working Terrathorn the best possible reason to stay, but all the bands deserve a place here and will not disappoint. Like Thrash? Like Death? Like Metal? Then like and go to this event!
